Introducing our YangMei LCD factory in Taiwan to our customers are always a pleasure. It is efficient, competitive and has been producing good quality LCDs for the past 20 years.
LCD manufacturing requires stable process control and precise equipment to ensure production of high reliability products. The factory floor has a cleanroom environment of 1K class cleanroom grade. Moreover, it has class 100 cleanroom grade at designated areas for major processes which require high degree of cleanliness.
We outsource the LCD mother panels, which are the front-end process. YangMei LCD factory in Taiwan has the capability for all the back-end LCD processes. The work processes are mostly modular. This is normal because of the production orders that reflect low volume high mix models. This also means that we support low volume customers.
Firstly, we have a LCD scribing capability of cutting a maximum size of 28″ x 36″ mother glass with a fine tolerance of 100 micron. The scribe and break process employs a contamination free cutting method. It uses no water, presents low heat and dust free. Scribing is the key to prevent lateral cracks in a good quality glass cutting process.
Next, we have fine-pitch Chip-on-Glass (COG) process using our cutting-edge Toray machine. It is capable of maintaining a bonding accuracy of 6 micron tolerance. COG process is one of the most process in ensuring no field rejects in missing lines or a sudden loss of function.
Finally, optical bonding processes of soft-to-hard surface and hard-t0-hard surface are housed under a class 100 environment for touchscreen production. With that, we are ready to laminate touch screen with LCD via optically clear adhesive (OCA) for dark background and high contrast requirement.
Subsequent processes of Flex-on-Glass (FOG) and LCD module (LCM) assembly can also be performed in this factory.
